Job Description

Our Broker Operations department is seeking a Comptroller to add to their growing team! Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Identifying/auditing commission trends
    • Monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual Commission Audits
    • Commission amount audits (Quarterly)
    • Department reporting
    • Must be responsible for completing all reporting/audits based on frequency of carrier statements and reporting deadlines
  • Maintain Broker Operations Team reports that are currently in process
    • Examine all processes that have an impact on monetary value for the agent, agency, and/or Ritter, and develop new reporting processes to best locate and save money for all parties
  • Responsible for providing Customer Service through telephone, email, and/or proprietary ticketing system when the volume permits and/or required by the department Lead, Supervisor, or Manager
    • Updating various agent/agency contact information
    • Updating payment method/EFT information provided by agent/agency to ensure compensation is paid accurately

Skills / Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent  
  • Basic understanding of insurance and agent relationship
  • Knowledge of Broker Operations and Commissions Departments’ processes responsibilities
  • One year of customer service experience and/or data entry experience
  • One year of experience with Microsoft Office; Excel experience required – ability to use functions and create/manipulate charts/graphs
  • Good communication skills, especially over the phone
  • Strong computer and typing skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to operate various computer applications and business equipment including email, copy machine, scanner, fax machine, and telephone
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
